Australian Slang
suffix of nouns used colloquially:
1. as an endearment, or affectionately, especially with and among children: "doggey" = dog;
2. as a familiar abbreviation: "brekkey" = breakfast; "Chrissey" = Christmas; "footey" = football; "piccey" = picture;
3. form nouns: "leftey" = left-winger; "stubbey" = small, squat beer bottle; "stiffey" = erection
